Description

This trail branches off the South Boise Trail #101A just before it enters the wilderness and traverses east toward Cannon Ball Mountain. As the trail comes out on a saddle, it meets the end of Saddle Camp Road #2109C, North Trail #134, and Alder Springs Trail #64. This is a horse camp and flies may be an issue.

From here, the trail traverses the north side of the mountain eventually meeting up with Thorn Gulch Trail #76 before making serious drops into the drainage. Consider a side trip halfway down to see the Lime Bluffs, take Lime Bluff Trail #75 out and back.

The trail ends just above the Rapid River Fish Hatchery on Shingle Creek Road.
