Overview
This route uses mostly graded county roads for the connection. The riding isn't hard but it can be sandy in spots.
At both ends, rough doubletracks can be used, although graded county roads can be used for both with slight increases in distance.
Description
Both Carrizo Canyon and Picture Canyons offer stunning canyon views and ample opportunity for rugged challenging riding.
The trail passes through a ranch at about five miles from Carrizo Canyon. This is normal for the area and allowed. If you feel uncomfortable, ask at the house. Beware that they have dogs but the dogs are relatively nice and well behaved.
