“Excellent scenic extension of the North Loop of Hueston Woods!
”
New trail. The trail builders have asked people to help ride it in. Don't crash into the uncut bushes on the flag line though ;)
Description
Start halfway around the North Loop trail, and make a right turn at the "Trail Under Construction" sign. You'll quickly descend off the hillside and proceed through about a dozen creek crossings. The creek bed is pretty much always dry, so this isn't an issue. Just be aware of the drops into and out of the creek. They're super short and steep, combined with some fun switchbacks to make for a decent challenge.
After climbing out the other side, you'll climb a small hill to the edge of a bluff. The trail winds along the bluff for about a mile before (current as of 2020-10-09) ending in some bushes. Turn around here, and make your way back to the original North Loop.
