Need to Know

This gulch burned in July 2020 and the trail cuts right through the area that burned. Some weed growth on the trail itself actually appears to have been cleared out by the burn and the trail is in good shape. The trail is now easily visible from Columbia Road as the brown dirt stands out from the blackened surrounding area.

Description

A two-track, 4x4 trail connecting the top of Reservoir View Trail with South Lucky Peak Trail. The top can be reached from any of the Oregon Trail climbs, or you can put on your pedaling legs and go straight up the steep grade from the bottom.

The bottom section isn't terribly steep, but is rocky and bumpy. The top is a little bit curvy and pretty steep, but the trail is pretty smooth and un-rutted, a rarity for this area. There's plenty of opportunity for speed if you're feeling the need for it.
