Overview

Ride up is on part of the Newberry Crater Trail and connects with the Newberry Crater Rim Trail, do just this or combine for a longer trip.

Cinder Hill Campground is recommended. Take a dip in the lake at the beach and grab a frosty one when you are done.

Need to Know

Cinder Hill campground has restrooms and water.

Description

Climb up becomes too steep to ride at this altitude unless you are a serious turbo. Once on the Newberry Crater Rim Trail, it's got great flow. Views from Cinder Hill are amazing and worth it!

The ride down is blazing and super fun. Start from one of two trailheads -- I started at one and came out the other. Beware of hikers and horses coming up as you descend (you'll be flying).
