Description

This is a remarkable little trail in that it's pretty darn good for a social trail (likely walked in by equestrians). The climb out from the Shooting Range starts a little vague, but look for a small cairn that marks the exit from the flat-ish area and on through a small arroyo crossing.

From there, it flip flops from one side of the arroyo to the other for a bit until you switchback up and out on the south side. Here starts the twisty bench section and final climb out to the edge of the mesa.

All of the mesa rim riding here is super fun, not fast, but fun. It's a good climb and also a fun descent. There is a nice cairn that marks the southeast end where it meets the doubletrack at the fenceline.

While this trail is not exactly fun, it is pleasant, and uncrowded. I called it intermediate because it's narrow, off-camber, and lose.
