There is virtually no parking on the lower end. This trail is best ridden as an out-and-back from the top, or parking at a small playground-park on Shannon Road and riding the pavement to access the bottom of the trail.

The Kiko Walk & Bike Trail is an infrequently-used recreation gem in the Morenci-Clifton area. This trail was an old railroad grade likely used to access the mine, then opened for access for 4x4 and since has closed to foot and bike traffic only. It's a good trail to practice long steady hill climbs without completely destroying your legs.

There aren't many known MTB trails in the Morenci-Clifton area. I've certainly had a hard time finding places to ride, but this trail helps keep the legs fresh. My hopes are that by adding this trail to MTB Project, folks will see the potential and perhaps other trails can be made. There is plenty of area just waiting for trails to be built.
