Description

The Burma Road trail was part of the Kodiak Island coastal defense installations from WWII. The trail has relic bunkers scattered along its path and starts at the Buskin River and ascends to the saddle between Old Woman's Mountain and Barometer Mountain, then descends down to Sargent Creek at the Hwy.

The trail starts as a wide doubletrack multi-use trail and provides access to the Barometer and Old Woman's trailheads. The trail parallels Devils Creek, crossing at several points and can be wet, muddy, and rocky.

The last quarter of the trail is steep and rocky, as it descends to the bank of Sargent Creek ending near the fairgrounds.
