Description

Sixth Sense, formerly known as Trail 6 before being officially named, is a new addition to the Cold Creek trail system. It's a great intermediate descent from the fire road with a ton of flow.

To access, climb Murphy's Grade and hang a left on the fire road to head downhill. At the first intersection, turn left, then take the immediate right to stay on the fire road. The trail entrance will be down about 50 yards on your left. Alternatively, climb the fire road, and at the first intersection, turn left. Sixth Sense is down the same 50 yards on your left.

The trail starts with a short, mellow climb before turning into a grin-inducing rip down to the parking lot. You'll pound over small rocks and roots before bursting out into the clear cut zone. Find your flow on a somewhat loose surface. After the short clear cut, you'll come to some small booters to find some air, but they're completely rollable for those not looking to take flight.

After entering back into the trees, the trail will straighten out enough to find some freakishly high speeds before gracing you with lots of perfectly crafted bermed switchbacks. As the trees lighten up, you're only a few hundred yards from exiting back onto the fire road right near the gate at the parking lot. Ready for lap two?

Good condition. Chunkier up top and smoother at the bottom. Rides fast, lots of nice little jumps that can be jumped or rolled.

Trail is even great in the rain... although the berms and roots are greasy. 4.6mi — 1h 00m
