Signs: Partly marked as LE12. The official LE12 track goes down to Saalbach and then up by cable car. Instead, this track stays high and climbs up to the upper station of the Kohlmaisgipfelbahn over the road.

The trail starts in Hutten, Leogang, and through the valley along the scenic Grießensee. After Hochfilzen, the real climb starts. The trail gives a nice view on the mountains behind Saalbach and Hinterglemm. From the Kohlmaisgipfel to the Asitzbahn, the trail goes over the Wurzeltrail. This is a bumpy ride over a singletrack with many roots. It is particularly difficult when the roots are wet (be prepared to walk now an then).

The trail ends at the cable car (Asitzbahn / Steinbergbahn). You can take the cable car down (for a price), or take one of the downhill rides in the Epic Bike Park (difficult), or if you really want, down over the road.
