Description

Tsar is an old village with about 40 residents. There are a few homestays there and you'll enjoy some delicious home-cooked meals if you overnight there. The children are working on learning English so you may be able to chat with them but they are very shy. From Tsar you'll have a steep fast descent to the Tartar River Gorge, there will be a short climb up to Karvachar which can be bypassed if you desire by staying straight on the dirt road along the River. If you look along the road on the way to Karvachar you can see historical remains of stone carvings and remnants of ancient vegetable oil mills. From Nor Verinshen you turn right and pass over the bridge crossing the Tartar River, you'll now begin the climb through the mountains, you'll pass the village of Nor Manashid and then continue climbing to the high point where you drop down through a field. Keep an eye out for signs and blazes here as it is easy to miss. Eventually, you'll have a bit of a cross country segment at the junction with the Zuar Trail. The Zuar Trail is another option that will bring you to the Zuar Hot Springs.

Keep an eye out for the Janapar Trail blue and white blazes and signs along the route. The Zuar Trail is marked with Red and White blazes.
