Need to Know

As of June 2019, the trail remains under construction but is rideable. Please ride with caution as trail crew workers may be present.

No signage is yet installed. We encourage users to travel in the direction used by the other park trails that day. Those on foot are asked to yield to cyclists using the trails.

The trail may close due to wet conditions. Please check the West Georgia SORBA page for the current trail status.

Description

Part of the Allatoona Creek Mountain Bike Trails System, the Flaming Wildcat leads riders along the eastern edge of Allatoona Park, eventually near Durham Middle and Frey Elementary schools, with lots of berms, rollers, and tabletops mixed in for fun. The trail may eventually reach 5+ miles in length.

Built partially using IMBA grant funds, and with youth use in mind, the trail is named after the Durham Middle (Wildcats) and Frey Elementary (Flames) mascots. No wild cats were set on fire...
