Description

This route is a mix of forest road, singletrack, and paved road through the forest on the southwestern edge of Monte Conero. Its main claim to fame are the three former quarries along its length. One of them has been turned into an amphitheater and another features a geological curiosity: the K-T boundary, which is the sudden transition between the Cretaceous and Tertiary eras when the dinosaurs disappeared. This might be of more interest to your average geologist than you average mountain biker though.

The upper end of the trail ends at the Pian di Raggetti, from which some enduro-type trails the descend. It's not clear if these are official or not, so you'll have to discover them for yourself.
