This section of the Owahee Trail, is an alternate route one can take that borders the developed areas just outside Grassy Waters Preserve. To use, follow the gravel road that passes under the power lines. Do not turn onto the gravel road that continues under the power lines; this is the power line access only road and is restricted.
The east side of this route terminates near Jog Road. To continue, follow the singletrack path that continues north, paralleling Jog Road. Continue past the entrance of the south trailhead of the Solid Waste Authority trail system. The trail will turn east, then north, then east, and north once again before it heads back west to reconnect with the Owahee Trail.
