Need to Know

The eastern portion of this road (beyond what is mapped) travels through private property and is not open to recreation.

Description

From where it starts at Lake Whatcom Park, this gravel road rises steeply along the slope until it levels off a bit before mile three. From there, it continues southeast before a long plunge down toward Wickersham before the public access ends at a private property boundary before reaching WA-9.

The road is most commonly used as the return leg of the Chantrelle Trail, and is steadfastly in the territory of gravel grinders or anyone looking to do some exploring. It can also be used as an alternative to Chantrelle for reaching the top of Brown Pow.
