Description
The trail begins at the junction of the Farkleberry Trail and Osage Orange Trail. The loop is marked as a one-way trail and is a multi-use path.
Overall, this trail travels through fairly dense hardwood forests with varying levels of underbrush. The path is similar to the rest in the area consisting mostly of a sandy clay mix, which makes for better drainage after rain.
The trail twists and turns through the forest with intermittent large cedar trees spotted along the ride. The area is teeming with wildlife, especially white-tailed deer, so keep your eyes open as they are seemingly around every corner. This trail provides a great place to enjoy a relatively easy ride with friends and family. The kids will enjoy the endless varieties of mushrooms that adorn the trail as well as plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Worth the effort if you find yourself at Lake Tawakoni State Park.
