Need to Know

Tread can be very eroded after rainstorms.

Description

This road can be accessed from the trailhead two miles east of town on NM578. It consists of a three-mile climb with three switchbacks along the way. There are great vistas of Gold Hill and some other alpine peaks in the area. The descent is very fast and very technical in some spots—having a full suspension mountain bike highly suggested.
