The upper portion of the Church Pond Loop Trail was flooded by beavers. While this area isn't closed to foot travel, it would be ill advised to venture there.

Due to the Halloween Storm of 2017, many of the bridges have been washed away or moved.

Follow the signs and blue plastic diamonds. Starting at Lily Pond (right across from the Livermore Trail), the trail enters the woods and skirts around Lily Pond. The trail crosses over a river (bridge washed out), then merges with the sawyer River Trail. It coincides with the Sawyer River Trail, then branches off to the right.

The trail comes to a unnamed junction around 2.0 miles, where it takes a left uphill. Around 3.6 miles, the trail comes into a clearing of goldenrod and monarchs (September). The trail travels for a ways then crosses a few more clearings. Here, the trail becomes annoyingly brushy for a long stretch. The trail descends to a forest road, follows it right, then turns left off the road.

It travels for 0.2 miles, then runs into the Church Pond Trail; it coincides with the trail right. It splits right off the Church Pond Loop Trail, where the unmaintained portion of the Church Pond Loop Trail turns left. At 7.2 miles, the trail coincides with the Sawyer Pond Trail right. The "Nana" splits left off the Sawyer Pond Trail near the Sawyer Pond Trailhead. The trail climbs up a small hill, then descends to end Rob Brook Road.
