Description

This Upper Loop is best when ridden clockwise due to grade, switchbacks and climbing in the shade. It’s a smooth/non-technical trail which was purposely built for mountain biking. The rounded switchbacks let you keep speed up, making it a fast loop.

It gets very quiet and beautiful once you get around to the back of North Floyd Hill and into the lodgepole pine area. There’s a short descent followed by a few steep switchbacks on the way up as you gain the ridge again.

Expect wildlife and very few people on the backside of North Floyd Hill.
