Description

The trail starts at Hopkins Road just over the bridge from the White Clay Nature Center. The trail travels down the old Pomeroy Newark railroad that went from Newark Delaware through Avondale PA and finally to Pomeroy PA. Not to long after the trailhead at hopkins road there will be a pond/marsh on your left. The trail continues on a doubletrack gravel road.

At about the 2 mile mark there will be a bridge on you rirght which carries the Penndel/Pomery Connector to the PennDel Trail. The trail continues for about a mile more until it crosses the White Clay Creek on a bridge just before it comes to Creek Road. The trail runs with Creek Road for about a half mile until the trail comes to a paved path the goes past some apartment buildings in Newark.

After the aparment buildings the trail passes a power station and cross Cleveland Ave and Church St. The trail goes under an active railroad and goes past the Newark Shopping Center. The trail ends as a paved path to the right of Bike Line now Trek Bicycle.
