A super fun, descending piece of singletrack on the back side of Mt Bachelor. Great summer route when Bend is HOT.

Need to Know

Have plenty of water and support to deal with mechanicals. There is no civilization until Lava Lakes.

Description

Grab this piece of trail just off the Cascades Hwy at the west end of Bachy West XC. This trail can be done as a loop from Wanoga or Swampy (35-40 miles) or as a drop-off from the ski area parking lot and ridden into town (50 miles). This is purely part of an epic ride. There is water at Lava Lakes. The access along Bachy West XC is beaten up by horses and you'll likely meet a horse on the trail. But this long descent and flowing singletrack is some of the most fun around.

A couple downed trees on the trail. Just a couple walkable sections are black. The rest is blue/green. 10.7mi

Rode as OAB from lava lake. Better north to south. Lots of unridable ups do to horse erosion going south to north. Only a couple going south. 23.5mi
