A solid loop to start with that can be easily adapted for lots of variation.

Overview

A loop ride that is also used as the course for the Pedalfest Race Course.

Description

Given the exposure of this area, this loop thankfully starts out easy. You can get warmed up on the Warm-up Loop before it turns into a bowl and then up some freshly made climbing switchbacks.

From there, the ride heads up a paved road and turns down into another bowl with a tight, steep switchback leading out (Sandtrap Switchbacks). From there, head up to circle a sometimes-pond at the top of a hill on Pond Loop. Continue down the fire road on the Walker Loop, passing through the "sand trap."

Next, the ride heads into the woods for some real fun, including a few whoop-dee-dos and a "duck!" situation on the Reynier Alternate Loop. From there, continue up the Walker Loop fire road again to ride the Moose Antlers (Kelly Downhill) Switchbacks.

Continue down these switchbacks—the last being quite treacherous. Last but not least, there are a couple of turns and a straightaway to get you back to the beginning.
