Description

This trail has a mostly crushed stone/gravel surface and generally follows Rocky Run stream. There are multiple water crossings that may be dry or flowing depending on whether it has rained recently.

The trail is shared with joggers, dog walkers, etc., but it is not too crowded (at least on week days). This is the northern section from Fairfax County Parkway to Stringfellow Road. The trail continues to the south at least through Ellenor Lawrence Park. Generally a pleasant, chill ride.
