Overview

A difficult ride that isn't recommended for beginners. The lollipop loop starts at the Seleta Bakery (the same starting point for the Tororó, Cagaita and Mar de Pinheiros routes) and is developed by the region known as Santarém and nearby Morro da Cruz.

Need to Know

Highly recommended to use repellent and long sleeves because there are ticks present among the grass.

Description

This trail has three distinct sections:
(1) The first one is about 20 km, crossing unpaved roads with uphills and lots of downhills.
(2) The second one is about 16 km and is primarily made up of singletrack sections. It traverses pastures and forests, high hills and valleys, and vast stretches of land with stones, gravel, and trenches broken up by ascents and descents that are both difficult and technical. In addition, this section is more difficult to access and then navigate once you're there. It's recommended to go in a group with someone who is more familiar with route-finding or bring a GPS or the MTB Project mobile app.
(3) The last stretch, about 12 km, returns to the dirt road, with two hills to challenge riders.

Pay close attention at the following points along the route:
Km 20.5: Look for a concrete post on the left. After the post, enter the singletrack on the left.
Km 23.2 to 24.3: The singletrack of this section is still not defined, so it's important to go with someone who has ridden it before or use a GPS or the MTB Project mobile app.
Km 26.6: At the beginning of the descent, you must follow the singletrack on the right.
Km 27.3: Watch out! Barbed wire fence in the middle of the singletrack.
Km 30.5: Cross the bracket located on the barbed wire fence that follows the left of the singletrack.
Km 33.5: Look out for the hidden entrance for the singletrack.
