Need to Know

A very advanced trail. Also, a very hard climb.

Description

The trail starts at the intersection of Hagys Mill and Port Royal. It has a short single/doubletrack section before meeting the center's access road. Continue west along the road until the fork and take a right. Follow the back road all the way down to the clearing and be careful, you get a lot of speed and there can be branches.

Before joining the Schuylkill River Trail, there is a short but difficult singletrack section. Be careful of hikers, other bikers, and nature center personnel. Additionally, the trail can be ridden in reverse, however, it is a very difficult climb. Climbing up the nearby Shawmount Avenue can be easier.
