Description

Gateway Road goes up to the jeep trail on BLM land. This can be ridden in a loop.

Park at the junction of Snowmass Creek Rd. and Capital Creek Rd. Make your way to and up the Gateway Rd. then to the Light Hill Rd. to access the BLM Jeep trail. The descent is rough, steep and full of baby-head rocks with one or two hike-a-bike sections.

Can't beat the views.

Lots of loose rocks sized from baseball to volleyball. Were this road smooth as a babies ass it would be one of the most coveted 6 mile rides in the state. The views are amazing with tons of deer when you ride AM or PM. More of a grueling event than anything with all the loose rounded rock though. Jun 30, 2018
