Description

Las Cruses Adobe starts off below Las Cruses school just off Hwy 1 and 101 across the freeway from Gaviota Peak.

The trail is fire/doubletrack with a singletrack coming from the bottom of trail to the south, and climbing out toward the original trailhead. The only real technical part is the singletrack climb. This is usually very rutted, and steep. It definitely takes finesse to climb.

The main climb to the highest point is a workout although there are flat spots to contemplate what's ahead. The trails are very low use, and you can pack a lot into one short ride.

Most go counterclockwise, but if you go the other way, or turn around at the top and go back, there are gnarly jumps for lots of air time if you so desire.

The singletrack section is a bit overgrown, several dense patches of poison oak to pass through.
