Description

The Klauer Trail begins near where the Rift Valley Trail's northern loop connects with the north trailhead. It crosses the Rift Valley Trail a couple times and provides alternate routes and close access to the rim of the Rio Pueblo gorge. Most of the trail is easy doubletrack; there are a few steeper descents and climbs along the way but nothing really technical. The scenery is great and there are some interesting geologic features along this road.
