Overview

The newly opened Harrisburg Extension Loop adds another two miles of trail to the tried and true Harrisburg Half.

Description

This ride starts at the Harrisburg Half Parking Lot about halfway up the climb for Harrisburg Half on the Harrisburg Half Parking Lot Connector. Once at the top of the climb, enter the woods and begin the downhill portion of the Harrisburg Half. Once the downhill is concluded at the intersection with the Harrisburg Half/Ball Field Loop Connector, the ride climbs back up to the top of Harrisburg Half and repeat the downhill until returning to the Harrisburg Half/Ball Field Loop Connector intersection. Take the Harrisburg Half/Ball Field Loop Connector to the Harrisburg Ball Field Loop and stay to the left side up against the fencing until you reach the Pepsi scoreboard.

After passing the scoreboard, descend the grassy hill on the left and pass the fire road on the right and the Harrisburg Extension Loop starts shortly after on the right, and the entrance is marked with blue and white ribbons. After almost 1.5 miles, the trail intersects with the Extension Loop Parking Lot Connector where you can connect back to the Harrisburg Ball Field Loop and make your way back over to the Harrisburg Half side of the park. After arriving at the start and end of the Harrisburg Half on the Harrisburg Half/Ball Field Loop Connector, take the Harrisburg Half Parking Lot Connector back 0.1 miles back to the parking lot where you started to conclude the ride.
