Features -none-

There can be snow and mud on the course from December to March. The mud on lower Peavine is all clay. It sticks to your bike until you stop. The only thing more fun than carrying a 50 lb mud covered bike is cleaning it.

Overview

The Reno Wheelmen Twilight MTB Race Series has been held from April until September for the past 28 years in the Reno Area on Thursday Nights. The series is run entirely by volunteers of the Reno Wheelmen, a nonprofit cycling club that has promoted cycling events in the Reno area since 1896. The events have been designed to promote cycling and fitness for all levels of cyclists in the community. Many of these cyclists have volunteered hundreds of hours with IMBA-affiliated clubs to help build and maintain the USFS trail system through the Carson Ranger District and Washoe County Parks Trail System.

The Reno Wheelmen host 50 plus competitive cycling events every year, in the Road, MTB, and Cyclocross disciplines. The Wheelmen hosted the 2018 USAC Cyclocross Nationals in January at Rancho San Rafael Park. They support racing and members who race with generous race reimbursement as well as discounted clothing. You don't need to be a member to race, but it is encouraged as it is the support from our members and sponsors that allows us to promote these events.

Need to Know
