This trail starts as a farm road in the little hamlet of Caprinale high above the picturesque Valtellina Valley and the Fiume Adda (river). The trail mostly winds through the forest, but there are a few places where the forest is cleared from which you'll have a breathtaking view down and across the valley about 500 meters (1500 feet) below. The trail passes through an old spooky tunnel.

Most of the trail is a somewhat rocky doubletrack but there are some short singletrack sections. Around the 2 km (1.25 mi) mark when the trail crosses the Torrente Caronella, the trail is a little washed out, and you might have to hike-a-bike for a short distance. The trail ends at a paved road near a dam on the Torrente Belviso.
