“This loop navigates some tight and twisty turns through Joshua Trees.
”
There is no water at this trail system and it can be very hot in the summer. Make sure to bring plenty of water.
Description
This trail's name does not disappoint—be sure to come with plenty of Stan’s/Slime in your tubeless wheels. Cholla Loop spends a lot of time weaving through soft/sandy singletrack with cholla or prickly pear cactus on the sides of just about every twist and turn. The trail then pops up out of the wash onto solid ground, and you'll find yourself in the midst of the most dense Joshua Tree forest this trail system has to offer. The west end of this loop brings you out to the scenic overlook and ramada off of Lost Mine Road.
