Race - Mar 25, 2018
This course has lots of steep sections. It's one of those race courses at higher elevation, which means you give a little more effort than usual. This is one of many race courses from the SoCal League. To learn more about these courses, visit socaldirt.org/2018-races/
Need to Know
The creek crossing is slightly deep, which makes a big splash when you ride through it. Your chain may start to make noise after crossing the creek, so use a heavy kind of chain lube!
The course runs along many singletrack trails and dirt roads. Towards the beginning is a medium-sized creek crossing, which actually helps you stay cool while racing! After that is a long fire road climb, followed by a fast, rolling singletrack. There are a few other steep hills mixed in the middle part of the course.
There's one tricky section where you ride through at small crevice between two low rocks, but after that is some twisty singletrack down to a fire road. The remaining part of the course is mostly steep, rocky, and sandy. On top of that is one more painful, steep climb into the finish!
