Description

You can park in Papago Park off of N College Ave and E Curry Rd. Ride west through the park past the man-made lake to reach the trailhead (where you can also access Lizard Trail and Loma Trail).

The first half of the Cactus Trail is not difficult at all. The second half travels through some washes and has a few decent ascents. Probably nothing more than a 5% grade, but it's pretty rocky and chunky which can make it more challenging (get ready to practice your track standing skills).

Half way through, there's a short segment (East Cactus Spur) that runs south connecting to Loma Trail. Following Loma Trail west a bit leads you to another short segment (West Cactus Spur) that runs north back up to the Cactus Trail.
