This trail along with the Old Shawnee Trail were part of the original horse trails at the park. For the most part, this is a steep but smooth doubletrack with lots of twisty switchbacks. It starts in the old horse trail parking lot and quickly climbs over 400 feet in less than 0.3 miles.

This trail is rated intermediate mainly due to grades approaching 30% with moderate switchbacks thrown in. This trail can be ridden in either direction but is at its best counter-clockwise.
