“A short, beginner friendly trail in the heart of Matthews.”

The Purser-Hulsey Park Trail opened in mid-2017 with a roughly 1.5-mile loop. The trail will be a total length of about 4.0 miles once the second phase of trail construction is completed in 2018.
The trail starts next to the trail kiosk at the back of the parking lot near the community garden. It's multi-use and bikers and runners are recommended to ride counter-clockwise (though it can be ridden backwards for more mileage). The trail is very beginner friendly due to minimal elevation change and short distance.
The natural undulation of some of the drainage ravines adds a little flow and fun to the ride. There are also a few wooden benches scattered throughout the trail in case you want to take a break and take in the surrounding nature.
