Call the park for trail conditions (570-945-3239) or check out their website for closures. As always, use common sense and stay off the trails if they are very muddy!

Description

Starting from State Route 407, this trail leads you either to Kennedy Creek Trail and Lee Hill or out to State Route 524 across from Bear Paw Trail and Turkey Hill. It's a pretty mild trail with one punchy climb and one off-camber rooty section with aquatic implications for messing up. This is mostly beginner friendly with one or two spots that might need to be walked. It's fun in both directions.

We call Ranger our bellwether trail because it gives a pretty indication of how the rest of the system holding up. If Ranger is sloppy then turn around and head home because the rest of the trails are likely just as bad. If most of Ranger is in good shape then you're probably good to go!
