1N09 connects all the Front Range Roads and trails, it gets OHV traffic sometimes so be mindful of others on the road.

Description

This is a fire road descent from Alder Creek Road to City Creek Trail. It is fast in spots and has great views, watch for traffic as this is a fairly popular fire road. Riding up Alder Creek Road, then dropping down 1N09 to City Creek Trail makes a really nice loop out of Highland.

If you ride in from SR330 (from the west) be careful, because you'll ride past a recreational shooting area. If you want to head east you can make an epic loop over to Middle Control Road and climb that to the Santa Ana River Trail (SART) 2E03: Post Office Section and then roll it all the way back to Redlands! 1N09 is another one of those deceptive roads that stays about the same elevation but descends and climbs in and out of each river and stream valley so be prepared and bring lots of water!
