Kids can learn to ride some switchbacks and get a nice "remote bush" feel while staying close to the village.
This is a popular multi-use trail. Be alert as you ride and ready to yield appropriately.
Description
Village Link is accessed from Beechnest Drive in St Arnaud. It climbs 98 ft (30 m) in a series of switchbacks to reach conservation land and skirt around private property.
Once the elevation has been gained, the broad gravel track sidles through regenerating native bush before descending in a few more switchbacks down onto grassy flats. The trail emerges at the local ice skating pond and Department of Conservation campground.
Riders can continue on the Skating Pond Loop to head further into the Teetotal trail network.
