“An out-and-back mix of single and doubletrack that's part of the Carolina Thread Trail.”
— Zachary Trivett
Open dawn until dusk.
The trail starts from the parking area off of Malibu Road. Along the way it changes from singletrack to road often, but the trail is marked with sufficient signage.
The main trail has a loose gravel tread and is a little wider than normal singletrack. You'll take a left when the trail merges with a gravel road for a small downhill. The signs lead you back to a nice flowy singletrack in the woods where you'll cross a small bridge that eventually leads you to a nicely built suspension bridge. If you're riding your bike on the bridge, be mindful on speed as you can start to weave back and forth to compensate your movement.
A short set of stairs at the end of the bridge leads to a flat singletrack that merges onto another gravel road. The trail abruptly ends (sign is available) but you are allowed to turn right and go up a tenth of a mile to access Oldenburg Community.
