Description

Quitaque Canyon Trail makes the western part of the Caprock Canyons Trailway. It can be ridden as an out-and-back in either direction and can connect up to the rest of the trail system extending to Esteline. This is an old railway bed with tunnels and bridge and is a very easy trail for beginners with good views of wildlife and bridge crossings.

There is an outhouse near the tunnel. Water supply is sketchy so you should bring your own water.

Wife and I rode from Monk Crossing to Clarity Tunnel to see bats; 4.9 miles one way; we took our time. Great path - flat and sandy - easy! 10mi
