Description

This is the main portion of singletrack on Dowd Mountain. It can be connected with Dowd Mountain Doubletrack #613 and Dowd Mountain Overlook along with another few sections of doubletrack to make a larger loop.

If you park at the base of Dowd Mountain Road, you'll actually start in the middle of this singletrack. Just after crossing the cattle guard, you'll see signed singletrack going off to your right. This is the southern portion of trail 165.

Follow this for just over a mile, at which time it will turn into a doubletrack which, if followed, runs into the Dowd Mountain Doubletrack #613. You can hit the northern portion of trail 165 after coming down Dowd Mountain Overlook and connecting with the northern portion of Dowd Mountain Doubletrack #613.
