Need to Know

There is a section of trail that threads through private property. Work is being done as of July 2018 to maintain access through this trail section, but it is currently closed and riders should take Warren Gulch Road to Little Bear Creek Road to Soda Creek Road.

This is a high-speed 3000-ft descent right in the Front Range. You can either climb or shuttle Little Bear Creek Road to Echo Mountain ski resort (please be respectful while driving). The entrance is hard to see from the road, so look for a bent highway marker right next to the entrance.

Respect property owners and the confines of legal trail access to riders. The trail DOES NOT EXTEND down Lost Mine Lane, and is currently being rerouted due to disrespectful and dangerous riding behavior. The private owners are temporarily allowing the path of descent to follow Warren Gulch Rd. to Little Bear Creek Rd. Clear Creek County Sheriff Dept WILL issue tickets to any riders found entering private lands or roads. Private Property and Road signs are accurate and legitimate.

Watch speed on Warren Gulch Rd, as it is also a private road and landowners DO NOT want high speed riding, as it endangers residents and animals on the surrounding property/road.

Some downed trees on the trail, but there are go arounds or ramps that allow you to ride over them. Rocky and Loose.

This trail stinks, you're better off going to Apex and walking your bike down the gut with everyone else who doesn't belong on that trail. Sep 13, 2017

Rode this trail yesterday for the first time. It was fun and I am glad that I rode it, I happened to be in the area with my bike but I will say it's Not worth making a special trip out there. It had a few fun rock hits but Unless you're on a mission of hitting a straight stretch at mach 10 into a flat corner, then repeating this for 5 miles, go else were with flow. Dec 13, 2017

ABOUT: A rocky, moderately technical singletrack with a fairly steep grade favored by dowhill mountain bikers, Warren Gulch is also a challenge for those in good shape wishing to ride it in both directions. Bikers have a variety of options; shuttle the 10 miles from the lower parking area up Little Bear Creek Rd. to Echo Mtn Ski Area, ride your bike up the shuttle route, or ride your bike up Soda Creek road a bit and take Steve Canyon Rd to the lower TH where you will be faced with a long climb to the top.
