The trail is a constant uphill along an unpaved service road. The first part travels through the woods, then it opens up and it goes along a safe ridge with great views of the valley below. The last 1.8 mi/ 3 km have a rougher surface, with small steps of rocks which require attention going back downhill.

Riders frequently return the way they came, but before you do, it's possible to continue behind the hut for a few kms along an unpaved and not very steep trail to the 'Busa delle Vette,' an open field with pastures.
