“This trail is a fun, one-mile downhill connector from the intersection with Pocahontas Trail #263 back to the road.”
— Steve Jones
Be aware of hunting seasons.
Though short, this descent is an important part of Eagle Camp Loop
ride. The Eagle Camp Trail begins, at the intersection with Pocahontas Trail #263
. From there, riders will enjoy a one-mile downhill to the Eagle Camp parking area.
Along the way, the trail sports some fun, wet, gully crossings. Be aware that the trail crosses a creek just before the parking area, which has a bridge out as of 9/17, though riders can easily cross 30 feet downstream on large rocks or can choose to blast across beside the rock crossing. This one is best at low water.
