“A fast singletrack at the start, then it levels off.
”
Family Friendly
It's not too steep, recommended for older children.
Please be careful of snakes during the hot season.
Description
The trail starts at the elbow of Mitchell St. and Redcliff Way. There is a sign with all the Redcliff bike trails on it. Follow the dirt road in and stay to the right. There will be a small sign saying Death Valley, stay right as it turns into a singletrack.
It starts with a couple of small rolling jumps and a couple of rock features while twisting and turning following the valley walls. About 1/3 of the way down, there is a switchback that goes over a rock bridge on the valley floor which takes you to the opposite side of the valley. Continue straight up to another Death Valley sign.
Stay on the right and continue as it then dips down again and crosses the floor again a couple more times. Keep on the trail until you come to a fork in the trail that says DMZ ⬅️ or Tequila Sunrise ⬆️.
