Description

Accessed via the long and bumpy Buck Ridge Road #2599, this trail rolls for miles along the top of Buck Ridge with top of the world views of Spanish Peaks to the north, Sphinx Mountain to the west, and Taylor Peaks to the south. There are numerous steep sections and a couple sustained climbs, interspersed with some rolling terrain. Take your time and soak in the scenery.

Options for riding are out-and-back, or a shuttle ride, using one of the Yellow Mule trails to descend back to Big Sky (a high clearance vehicle is necessary if you're shuttling).

The ATV club has been doing a great deal of maintenance to restore rutted portions of the trail on the ridge. Give them a wave and a thanks if you see them.

Not sure what the picture is posted for Buck Ridge, no bridge I know of. Beautiful views, but an ATV trail. — 2h 30m
