Description
This trail is accessed from Wellington Road opposite the Corkscrew Flats development. The trailhead sign marker is set off the road, so start looking for it as you are heading up Wellington Road after you pass
Campion Trail.
It's a recently built singletrack with some berms and no major climbs, although some of the rolls go up-and-down quickly for a fun ride. At the start, it passes between the BOEC lot and an electrical substation before intersecting with the north end of
Liesel's Luge and then the
High Point Trail.
The singletrack continues with some rolling terrain along a slight climb to reach the Breckenridge Pump Track. Cross the road and keep going through the trees to pass some open dredge rock areas that lead to a bridge crossing. You'll also find an intermediate trailhead at the east end of the Wellington Neighborhood (there is guest parking at this trailhead and it makes a good place to park and get on the trail).
The trail continues northeast through dredge rock, passing abandoned mining structures until it meets French Gulch Road at the entrance to the Country Boy Mine. There's no official parking here. Traveling a short ways to the east, on French Gulch Road, leads to the B&B Trailhead and a plethora of trail options.
