“A fun and well-built switchback climb up the ski bowl.
”
The Long Trail is generally ridden as an out-and-back at this time. It is a long but gradual climb with lots of switchbacks and really interesting features like rock bridges over snowmaking pipes. The trail crosses over the Moxam ski trail a couple times then heads out to Peaceful Valley where it crosses this ski trail a few times before ascending north back to Moxam again.
Here it climbs through the Half & Half Glades out to the intersection of Peaceful Valley and Oak Ridge ski trails. This is the end of the built trail but you can continue up Peaceful Valley to the summit.
At the Eagles Nest intersection you can return the way you came, continue up to the lift shack on top of Little Gore, or descend the work road to the Burnt Ridge Quad and out to the Gore Mountain Base area. Watch for work vehicles if you take the road to the Gore Base area.
