Description

Strap on your big boy or girl pants for this one. You'll need them!

This trail takes you through deep and dense forest, with loamy trail surfaces and the occasional fun rocky section for playing on. The upper and lower parts of the trail are pretty sweet, though sometimes very steep, and there is a stretch somewhere in the middle that is characterized by steep grades and tons of loose grapefruit to football sized rocks. Tons of them! You can't avoid them and they will mess with you and throw you off your line. Then, they will probably laugh at you. I'm not sure about that last part, but I think I may have heard some snickering on my way bouncing down this mountain.

There is a ton of elevation gain (or loss) to be had here - remember, what goes down must first go up! This trail provides access to some of the most beautiful country and views around northern Colorado. If you're looking to get some backcountry riding in through some pristine Colorado high country, this is a good option. Just remember those big boy/girl pants.

This trail would really be something special if it weren't for all the deadfall laying across it. Still fun - but frustrating to see the potential.
